Armed force salvages 1000 Boko Haram prisoners

The Nigerian Army said it has protected in excess of 1,000 Boko Haram prisoners, kept in a few towns in Bama Local Government Area of Borno.

Brig.- Gen. Texas Chukwu, the Director, Army Public Relations, unveiled this in an announcement in Maiduguri on Monday.

Chukwu said the safeguard activity was directed by troops of 22 Brigade of Operation Lafiya Dole in conjunction with partners of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).

He recorded the towns to incorporate Malamkari, Amchaka, Walasa and Gora towns of Bama Local Government Area of Borno.

He included that the prisoners were basically ladies, youngsters and young fellows who were compelled to wind up Boko Haram warriors.

He said "Nigerian Army wishes to help people in general to remember its make plans to defeat out Boko Haram and save all prisoners.
